Artist Talk: Gil Garcetti, Cultural Architecture in Los Angeles and Paris

Date(s) - Apr 21

The work of photographer and UNESCO-IHE Cultural Ambassador Gil Garcetti has been published in books including Dance in Cuba: Photographs by Gil Garcetti, Water is Key: A Better Future for Africa, and featured in numerous exhibitions. In conversation with Bianca Roberts, Executive Director of the Mona Bismarck American Center, Gil Garcetti has discussed his photographs of two of Frank Gehry’s iconic buildings — the Walt Disney Concert Hall (Los Angeles) and the Fondation Louis Vuitton (Paris) — as illustrations of how architecture can alter civic dynamics, and the emergence of Los Angeles as a center for modern and contemporary art.
