Alison O’Daniel is a visual artist and filmmaker from Los Angeles, using a variety of mediums such as film, music, performance, art installation and sculpture. The artist will discuss her most recent work, Skater’s score, an interactive art installation on view at the Centre Pompidou’s Studio 13/16 from March 16 in partnership with France Los Angeles Exchange (FLAX). Inspired by the sounds of skateboards on Los Angeles’ sidewalks, the installation engages viewers through a creative process in which they compose a new score, questioning the translation of sound. The interview with the artist will be led by Anna Milone, program director and curator at France Los Angeles Exchange (FLAX).
