ARTIST TALK : GERARD & KELLY / ELISABETH LEBOVICI
During Festival d’Automne à Paris, American artists Gerard & Kelly will be accompanied by Elisabeth Lebovici to present and discuss their work in a unique event.
Following a summer residency in 2017, the Mona Bismarck American Center is coproducing a presentation of Gerard & Kelly’s recent projects by the Festival d’Automne à Paris, including Reusable Parts/Endless Love at the CND Centre National de la Danse, Timelining at the Centre Pompidou and State of as part of the opening night of FIAC at the Palais de la Découverte.
Art critic and art historian Elisabeth Lebovici is the author of Ce que le sida m’a fait. Art et activisme à la fin du 20è siècle – What AIDS has done to me. Art and activism at the end of the 20th Century – JRP/Ringier: Lectures Maison Rouge, 2017 and co-curates a seminar at the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS, Paris).
This talk will be in English without any simultaneous translation
