EMMANUEL TELLIER: LA DISPARITION D’EVERETT RUESS
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PARIS MUSIC FESTIVAL
Thursday March 14 – 7 pm
In November 1934, a 20-year-old adventurer named Everett Ruess disappeared without a trace in a desert in southern Utah, not far from the Colorado River and the Navajo territories of Monument Valley. What happened to him? A Murder, an accident or a deliberate choice to disappear? Alongside his journalistic career for the weekly Télérama, Emmanuel Tellier has always written and recorded songs. At the head of 49 Swimming Pools, his panoramic music quartet, oscillating between pop and folk-rock, Emmanuel proposes with La disparition d’Everett Ruess to retrace the steps of this mythical character of the American West.
