EPO invites Oliver Lake is a unique musical ensemble playing a mix of contemporary jazz, traditional African Diaspora percussion, and polyrhythmic improvisation. EPO’s (Eclectik Percussion Orchestra) modern harmonies and dynamic melodies combine spoken word and body percussion, in a unique contemporary transmission. Accompanied by world-renowned American jazzman Oliver Lake, the composer, saxophonist, flutist and conductor whose musical approach has received such honors and recognition as the Guggenheim Fellowship in 1993 and the Melon Jazz Living Legacy Award in 2006. EPO is composed of Guy Constant (composition, percussion, vocals), Nicolas Arnoult (arrangement ), Alex Ambroziak (drums), Antoine Arlot (saxes alto and baritone), Adama Sanogo (percussion, vocals), Youssef Essawabi (trombone, tuba), Gustavo Ovalles (percussion, vocals), René Le Borgne (drums, cymbals) Maxime Tisserand (clarinets, saxophones), Olivier Irthum (lights) and Stéphane Le Vigneront (PA).
