Date(s) - May 22 - May 25
In partnership with CAPSO (Communauté d’Agglomération du Pays de Saint-Omer), the Mona Bismarck American Center is proud to present Company SBB for a series of performances, workshops and events in the context of her first artist residency at the American cultural center.
Company SBB is an installation based dance theatre company, which physically interrogates contemporary and historical cultural symbolism and the complexities of human relationships. Performing worldwide to present original works by artistic director and founder Stefanie Batten Bland, Company SBB was originally founded in France in 2008 and has been based in New York since 2011. Bienvenue is an interdisciplinary performance that examines the various definitions of walls and our willingness to share space with others, while Germe, an installation performance at the threshold of art and science, creates an intimate experience through the tendrils of a virally growing organism.
