Tax Deductibility

66% of donations are deductible within the limit of 20% of taxable income (under the French fiscal legislation, and law n° 2003-1311, August 1, 2003).
A tax receipt will be issued to members by the Mona Bismarck American Center.
Membership is valid for one year from the date of activation.

In the intimate rooms of the Mona Bismarck American Center, Jacky Terrasson “the pianist of happiness” (Télérama) will play timeless songs from the 20s to the 50s, created for Broadway theater and musicals as well as Hollywood films. Hearing Jacky Terrasson play solo is a genuine treat.

The Fondation Cartier for contemporary art will once again focus its attention on the world of cars with the exhibition Auto Photo dedicated to photography’s relationship to the automobile. Organized in series, it will bring together 400 works created by 80 historic and contemporary artists from around the world; capturing the geometric design of roadways, the reflections in a rear-view mirror or our special relationship with this object of desire, these photographers invite us to look at the world of the automobile in a new way.

Lost in Frenchlation breaks the language barrier and brings the best of French cinema to the international community in Paris with screenings of French films with English subtitles.
For this edition, the Mona Bismarck American Center gives you the opportunity to discover “Orpheline”, an intensive tale made by Arnaud des Paillères.

Le jour qui vient (The Day That Comes), an exhibition conceived by Marie-Ann Yemsi, showcases a new generation of artists from Africa and the African diaspora. This exhibition is presented as part of the AFRICA NOW event at Galeries Lafayette

 

WALKER EVANS

Walker Evans (1903 – 1975) is one of the most important photographers of the 20th century. His photographs of America during the 1930s crisis, his projects published in Fortune magazine between 1940 and 1950, and his definition of “the documentary style” have influenced several generations of photographers and artists. The exhibition is conceived as a retrospective of Evans’s works, and aims to highlight the artist’s fascination for vernacular culture.

 

PARCOURS SAINT-GERMAIN-DES-PRES

This year Le Parcours is inspired by Fernando Pessoa’s work “Fragments d’un voyage immobile” (“Fragments of a still journey“), a theme that explores notions of journey and introspection.
Created in 2000 in response to an increasing demand for cultural visibility from local stakeholders, Le Parcours is an initiative which contributes to an artistic renewal of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighbourhood.

THE ARTIST BEB DEUM INVITES OolfloO at the SILENCIO CLUB

OolfloO is a music project by film score composer and French producer Olivier Florio, at the crossroads of industrial music and rock. While pop riffs and industrial beats sometimes flirt with Trip Hop, light melodies are the cornerstone of this music. On stage, OofloO shares a sensitive voice and a powerful energy.

 

INHABITING THE BORDER at LA COLONIE (ART PARIS ART FAIR)

The one-day discussion series “Habiter la frontière” (Inhabiting the Border) will take place at La Colonie, a new space recently created by the artist Kader Attia, 128 rue Lafayette, in the 10th arrondissement of Paris.

PREVIEW OF THE INTERNATIONAL RARE BOOK AND FINE ART FAIR at the GRAND PALAIS
Thursday 6th April, from 5 to 10 p.m.
Visitors are invited to embark on a fabulous journey following the traces left by the human mind over the centuries. From manuscripts to avant-garde works, a letter from François I and a note written by Marcel Proust, or even 13th century psalters to futuristic manifestos, aficionados can explore the shelves of an immense “book store” bursting with an endless variety of documents representing every era, every style, and every medium.
